The Carson High Career Closet was born from students voicing a real need for access to professional clothing for interviews, competitions, and career-related events. Inspired by collegiate career closet models and fueled by a community eager to support Carson High School students in reaching their career goals, this initiative quickly took shape. Grounded in the belief that every student, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to the resources needed to make a strong first impression—one that can lead to a lifetime of lasting impressions—students themselves helped design and create the space. In doing so, they built a resource for their peers that not only provides clothing, but also empowers students to step confidently into their future.
Currently, this project has gone a long way from being visualized to being fully developed. Now we have the Career Closet open and in operation, with contributions from many students throughout the school, which help operate the Career Closet project. The Career Closet is also currently open to any student who wishes to schedule a visit.
